I read a very interesting book, "Things Fall Apart" by Chinua Adebe (sorry if I mispell his name, this is a great novelist from Nigeria, currently living in the US, he's a teacher/ lecturer I think) dealing with the beginning of the end for African tribes, when the white man came with the Bible in a hand and destruction in the other one. Another great book is "Nations Negres et Culture" by Cheikh Anta Diop, but I didn't read it totally
